We missed LAN parties, so we rebuilt one
LanOrbit is made by a small team in Bucharest that grew up carrying desktop towers to a friend's flat on a Friday evening.
How it started
In 2023 four of us tried to play Age of Empires II the way we used to. Two hours later we had a VPN that dropped every ten minutes, a router nobody wanted to touch, and one friend who never managed to connect at all. We wrote a small tool that weekend so we could finish the game.
Other people wanted it. Then a clan wanted it. LanOrbit is that weekend tool, three years and a lot of network profiles later.
What we hold to
The game is never touched
We don't patch executables, we don't inject anything, we don't read game memory. Only the network path changes, which is why nobody gets banned for using us.
No ads, ever
We keep LanOrbit free without selling your attention or your data to anyone.
Old games deserve to keep running
Half our work is writing network profiles for titles whose publishers stopped caring fifteen years ago. That part isn't profitable and we do it anyway.
