How to play Starcraft over LAN

Step 1

Everyone installs LanOrbit and joins the same room

Do it before starting the game — LAN games look for other players once, when their multiplayer screen opens.

Step 2

Allow the game through Windows Firewall

When Windows asks, tick both Private and Public networks. The LanOrbit adapter counts as public.

Step 3

One player hosts a LAN game

Open the multiplayer or LAN menu and create a game, exactly as you would at a LAN party.

Step 4

The others join from the LAN list

The host shows up in the LAN tab. Everyone must run the same version and patch.
