LanOrbit runs on Windows only for now. Versions for other systems are planned — we'll announce them on the blog first.
Follow the blogWhat's inside and how to run it
- Installer (recommended): run the
.exe, click through once, and LanOrbit starts. It keeps itself up to date in the background from then on. - Portable ZIP: unzip it anywhere (the Desktop is fine, no admin rights needed to unzip) and run
lanorbit-updater.exe. It pulls the app, verifies it and starts it — and updates it in the background afterwards. - First launch asks once for access to the virtual network adapter. After that you won't download anything by hand again.
LanOrbit uses the Microsoft WebView2 runtime for its interface. It's already present on Windows 11 and most Windows 10 machines; if it's missing, the app installs it for you.
